I love Saturdays – I feel like it’s my most productive day of the week (probably because I don’t have to go to work). I met with some fellow photographers this morning to get some editing done for a recent shoot and to talk photography. Getting to know how other photographers work helps me figure out how I want to approach photography. I’ve made the decision that 2011 will be the year to learn – everything and anything.
I took this shot early this morning while heading to the gym. The sun was rising above the mountains and it felt like a brand new beginning. In many ways it is. Yesterday I handed in my two weeks notice to my current job. While I was extremely nervous and somewhat doubtful of my decision, I knew that it was time for a change. Now is the time in my life that I can afford to take these risks. The road ahead may be a long one but I know it’ll be worth it.
(PS. Today I did my first RX’d WOD!)
These next couple of weeks are going to be a bit hectic – I’m making some big changes (which I will discuss at a later time) so my schedule will be pretty full for a bit. I’m finding that the only time I can make it to the gym is in the morning at 6:30AM. Yeah, that’s early. Chris and I were (somehow) able to go on Monday and I will make a valiant attempt to go tomorrow morning as well. This will be my motivation.
If you haven’t read this article, you should. While you’re at it, read this one too. Happy lifting!
I dropped the ball yesterday and couldn’t take a photo. In my defense, I was travelling from Charlottesville to Northern Virginia and didn’t get to my destination until after midnight. So today you’ll get two photos!
I just noticed that my cup of coffee had some good advice that seems appropriate for this time of my life so it’s my momentary inspiration.
